Parish and town councils aren’t just talking about climate change, they’re doing something about it.
The Climate Response of the Year award, sponsored by Civic.ly, celebrates parish and town councils that are making a meaningful impact by preparing their communities for a changing climate.
If you know a council that’s leading by example with bold, local climate action, now’s the time to shine a light on their work. This award recognises councils that:
✅ Integrate climate resilience into their strategies and plans
✅ Engage the community in climate-positive projects like tree planting
✅ Help residents prepare for extreme weather and other climate impacts
✅ Partner with organisations to deliver real local climate action
Anyone can nominate, including council staff, councillors, county associations, and the public.
🎯 Nomination deadline: 5 September 2025
