Piddinghoe Parish Council is recruiting a new Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer. 

As the main contact point for the Council, the clerk is our interface with the public and with other councils, organisations and contractors.  You will support and advise councillors, organise meetings, draft minutes, prepare documentation and follow up on actions. As Responsible Financial Officer you will manage the Council’s accounts and budgeting. 

The role is mainly home based, with some evening work attending meetings, and involves working flexibly for an average of five hours per week.

You will need to have excellent inter-personal skills, be well-organised and self-directed, proficient in IT and experienced in basic financial management.

The ideal candidate will have a track record in local government, although induction and training can be arranged for those new to the sector.

Salary will be NALC LC2 scale pro rata, points 24-28 (£18.35 to £20.29 per hour) depending on experience and qualifications.
